Locally based goalkeeper Felix Annan has been named as the third safest pair of hands in Ghana’s squad to face Sierra Leone this month in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as captain Asamoah Gyan returns to the team.

The Asante Kotoko shot-stopper has been listed in a 23-man squad alongside Maritzburg United No.1 Richard Ofori and Sochaux’s Lawrence Ati-Zigi.

Meanwhile, Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has handed a call-up to captain Asamoah Gyan to beef up his attack for the double-header against Sierra Leone after several injuries and tactical reasons.

The experienced Kayserispor man will join 22 other players to prepare for the first leg in Kumasi on 11 October hoping the stars will improve upon their last game against the Harambee Stars of Kenya.
